Welcome to Finite ("we," "our," or "the app"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information. Finite is built on a simple principle: your data belongs to you.

2. Information We Collect

Finite collects and stores information that you voluntarily provide:

• Contact Information: Names of people you add to the app
• Personal Data: Birthdates, relationship types, gender, country (optional)
• Meeting Records: Meeting dates, types (in-person, video call, phone call, message), and notes
• User Profile: Your birthdate (required for timeline calculations)
• Optional Data: Profile photos, links to contacts from your address book

3. Information We Do NOT Collect

Finite does NOT collect:

• ❌ Location or GPS data
• ❌ Contacts from your address book (unless you manually link them)
• ❌ Usage analytics or crash reports
• ❌ Advertising identifiers (IDFA)
• ❌ Web browsing history
• ❌ Health or fitness data

4. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used solely to provide the app's core functionality:

• Calculate and display relationship timelines based on life expectancy data
• Track meeting goals and send reminders when it's time to reconnect
• Send notifications for birthdays and name days
• Display statistics and insights about your meeting patterns
• Update the home screen widget with people you haven't met recently
• Sync data across your devices (only if iCloud sync is enabled)

5. Data Storage & Security

Local Storage: All data is stored locally on your device using SwiftData, Apple's persistent storage framework. Data is stored in an App Group container.

iCloud Sync: If you enable iCloud sync, your data is synced through Apple's iCloud service using CloudKit. This data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Apple's end-to-end encryption means even we cannot access your synced data.

Security: The app uses iOS security features including Data Protection and Keychain Services. We do not transmit your data to any servers other than Apple's iCloud (if enabled).

6. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal data. Ever.

No Third-Party Services: We do not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. No data is shared with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

Calendar Integration: If you choose to sync meetings with your system calendar, events are created locally on your device. The app does not read or modify other calendar events.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

Retention: Your data is retained indefinitely until you choose to delete it or uninstall the app.

Deletion: You may delete individual contacts or all data at any time from within the app. When you delete the app, all local data is removed from your device. If iCloud sync is enabled, data remains in iCloud until you delete it from your iCloud settings.

8. Children's Privacy

Finite is intended for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

9. Your Privacy Rights

You have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access: View all your data within the app at any time
• Delete: Remove individual contacts or all data from app settings
• Opt-out: Disable iCloud sync, calendar sync, or notifications anytime
• Data Portability: Your data is stored locally in SQLite format accessible via the App Group container
• Correction: Edit any person's information at any time

10. App Store Privacy Disclosure

In compliance with Apple's App Store requirements, we declare that Finite:

• Does not collect user data for third-party purposes
• Does not share user data with third parties
• Uses data only for app functionality described above
• Does not engage in cross-device tracking for advertising
